Arriving in Spain and Getting to Valencia

By Air – Valencia Airport (VLC)

Valencia Airport offers many direct European connections.
For intercontinental flights, most travelers connect via major hubs (Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, etc.) before flying into Valencia.
Via Madrid or Barcelona
If there is no convenient direct flight to Valencia, you can:
• Fly to Madrid (MAD), then take a high-speed AVE train to Valencia (approx. 1h45).
• Fly to Barcelona (BCN), then take a Euromed/AVE train to Valencia (approx. 2h45–3h).
Trains arrive at València Joaquín Sorolla station (high-speed) or Estació del Nord (central).

By Train (within Spain)

Valencia is well connected by train to major Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, etc.).
• High-speed trains (AVE, Euromed) arrive at València Joaquín Sorolla.
• Regional and medium-distance trains arrive at Estació del Nord (10 minutes’ walk from Joaquín Sorolla).

 

By Coach/Bus

Long-distance buses are an economical option from many cities in Spain and Europe.
• Main operators: ALSA, Avanza, FlixBus.
• Buses arrive at the Valencia Bus Station, near the city center.
 
You can check routes and book tickets on the operators’ own websites.

Getting to the Venue from Within Valencia

  • By Metro
• Take Line 3 or 5 from Aeroport to Àngel Guimerà.
• Change to Line 1 or 2 and get off at Beniferri station.
• Walk about 5 minutes (≈400 m) to the hotel along Av. de las Cortes Valencianas.

  • By Taxi
• Approx. 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel (depending on traffic).
• Typical fare: around €15–20.
• The hotel is well known – you can simply say: “Hotel Sorolla Palace, Palau de Congressos.”
  • From Train Stations
* From València Joaquín Sorolla (high-speed station)
• By taxi: approx. 10–15 minutes.
• By metro: walk to the Jesús/Joaquín Sorolla metro station, take Line 5 or 7 to Àngel Guimerà, then Line 1 or 2 to Beniferri, then walk to the hotel.
 
* From Estació del Nord (central station)
• By taxi: approx. 10–15 minutes.
• By metro: short walk to Xàtiva or Colón stations, connect to Àngel Guimerà, then Line 1 or 2 to Beniferri.

City Bus

Several EMT Valencia bus lines serve the Palau de Congressos area, directly opposite the hotel (2–3 minutes on foot):
• Typical lines: 62, 63, 99 (daytime) and N3 (night).

Walking

From Beniferri metro station:
• Approx. 5–7 minutes on foot (≈400 m).
• Follow Av. de las Cortes Valencianas towards the Palau de Congressos; the hotel is the tall building next to it.

• Metro and buses are frequent and reliable.
• Tickets can be bought at metro machines or on buses.

• Taxi & Rideshare
• Taxis are easy to find at the airport, train stations and in the city.
• Rideshare services like Cabify (and Uber-taxi service) also operate in Valencia.
